Gear | Model | Weight | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Backpack | Osprey Exos 34 | 960g (2 lb 2 oz) | Narrow pack. I wish for the same with less curvature to the pack, though still with internal frame (perhaps the gregory optic 48 or rei flash 45). Waterproof X-Pac or Dyneema material would be nice. I like this earlier Exos 34 model with the front hip belt pockets and less overall pack volume. |
Backpack (alternate) | Gossamer Gear Murmur 36 | 354g (12.5 oz) | Lightest pack. |
Backpack (budget) | 3F UL Trajectory 35 | 670g (1 lb 7 oz) | Narrow pack. Internal frame. Design needs some styling tips. There are some very detailed videos in many languages. |
Tent | Big Agnes Fly Creek HV2 Platinum | 822g (1 lb 13 oz) | Full Mesh inner, Free Standing, Vestibule |
Sleeping Pad | ThermaRest NeoAir UberLite | 250g (8.8 oz) | Air mattress with 2.3 R value |
Sleeping Bag | Aegismax Mini 800FP Goose Down | 408g (14.4 oz) | Prefer separate down hood for wearing at camp. Warmer hoodless models discussed on Reddit thread, with overview in figure below. Mini and M2 sleeping bags are sewn through while Nano and Nano2 include box baffles. The Nano and Nano2 have waterproofed down, which perhaps results in the lesser fill power of 700 instead of 800. Update: I defer to Matt Shafter who has a lot figured out. While you won't make a lot of the choices either of us makes, his knowledge and choices are admirable:

Although with popularity and inflation they have been increasing their prices. Five years ago, I got a tent from Naturehike for $60 that is now over $100.
