Specifications For My First Motorcycle

For a street-motorcycle (pistera), the requirements for achieving a minimalist amount of quality:

	* rear monoshock suspension
	* rear disc brake

Choosing the rear disc brake and monoshock rear suspension helped me rule out like 90% of the motorcycles in the showrooms of Chiclayo, Peru. These two options are superior than the drum brakes and dual shock options, and are easy to spot when looking at motorcycles.

My Needs for a Motorhome

What is a home? A home contains the following (with RV specific functions in parentheses):

	* Bed (overcab bed)
	* Office (desk, dining table, couch/bed)
	* Bathroom (toilet, shower)
	* Kitchen (sink, range, oven, fridge, water filtration)

My Shopping for a Vehicle in Peru

Save to buy a crossover, hatchback or van. A van would be vehicle of choice if I'm going to build a house, good for car camping, etc. Or sports car and cargo trailer?

Tire Selection

I have a naked bike which I ride off-road most of the time, except when taking a trip to the city. I've gotten used to going slow on the turns as I have poor traction on the stock tires IRC Road Winner RX-01 (image below). Going slow on blind turns is also a good preventative for head on collisions on the single lane 2-way road.

Lifting for Off-Road

Sedans have a softer suspension than SUVs. I think they make SUVs with stiffer suspensions because people are more likely to roll a taller vehicle with the same spring rate. My goal is to go over stuff without a jarring ride. So if I were to buy an SUV, I would look for softer springs (while still maintaining the ride height). Although I would keep stock sway bars and maybe increase the torsion strength of the rear.

Whatever my current projects are, not meant to be comprehensive.

Follow a Routine

With all the dust from dirt roads, cleaning the air filter should happen frequently! You may as well check fluids and tire air pressure as well. Make sure the engine and ac cooling fans are working.
